What Is Vaping?

Vaping is a healthier, less toxic alternative to smoking cigarettes. Vapers use a liquid (e-liquid) which replaces tobacco and is often mixed with food-grade flavoring for a unique experience. The liquid is vaporized through an atomizer to create a smoking-like experience. As you’re inhaling and exhaling vapor, much like you would the smoke from a regular cigarette, the experience is called vaping.

What Are E-Cigarettes?

E-cigarette or electronic cigarettes are battery-powered vaporizer used by vapers to simulate the experience of smoking. In general, an e-cigarette will be made up an atomizer – which is the heating element that vaporizes the e-liquid to create your smoking experience. They come in different sizes and are able to vaporize liquids of different flavors.

 

Do E-Cigarettes Have Nicotine?

Yes and No because it really depends on what type of E-Liquid you put on it. Some E-Liquid has nicotine and some don’t which is clearly marked on its label.

What Is E-Liquid?

So what is the liquid that is being atomized by your electronic cigarette? E-liquid or e-juice is what ultimately becomes the vapor you inhale and exhale. It’s usually made up of:

  • Vegetable glycerin
  • Propylene glycol
  • Nicotine
  • Flavoring
  • Distilled water (for dilution)

Is Vaping Safe?

This is probably one of the most commonly asked questions. If you quit smoking entirely, that would definitely be your safest and healthiest option. But, when compared to smoking, vaping is widely considered to be the better option. While you’re still inhaling nicotine with electronic cigarettes, you are no longer adding harmful chemical substances to your lungs that can be found in tobacco.
